Michelle Alexander, 57, returned to her heavenly home on October 8, 2019 after a valiant battle with breast cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in homegoing and ultimately gave her peace.

Michelle was born to the late Alvin and Shirley Alexander, father Kinesio Therapist and a mother (Housewife) respectively, in New Orleans . She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support from an early age. She was an acolyte for her family and spread the name of God to everyone she encountered. She graduated from Dillard University in 1989 with an undergraduate of Business Administration and later received her Masters Degree in Human Resources.

Michelle was blessed with a spiritual and loving family. She gave birth to Bryce Alexander. Bryce was Michelle's greatest treasure. From the very beginning she dedicated her son to God and encouraged him to live by faith and not by sight.

Michelle was always passionate about her love for God, She enjoyed family. She loved to look back at family photos over and over again and was family champion in scrabble. Her favorite time of year was the holidays. For Michelle Christmas began in October and lasted through the new year. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.

Michelle is survived by her son, Bryce; her sister Terri McEwen (Randy); her nieces Gabrielle Holmes (Derek Jr.) and Ashley McEwen; Aunt Carol and cousins Katrina, and Cory St. Etienne; and her great-nephew Derek Holmes III. She is preceded in death by her sister, Donna Alexander; and her parents.

The family of Michelle Alexander expresses their sincere thanks to all of you, both far and near for your comforting words, prayers, deeds and other acts of kindness. May God continue to bless you.
