Obituary

Milagros Mercedes Nunez, 86, of Tampa passed away November 19, 2011. Born in Oriente, Cuba in 1925, a period of time in which there were no incubators, Milagros was put in cotton balls and placed in her Uncle's coat pocket. She later moved to Havana, Cuba and in her later years moved to New York where she met her husband, Orlando Nunez. She married Orlando in 1962 and in 1963 had a peewee of a little girl and named her Ada Dolores Nunez. In 1976, the family moved to Tampa where Milagros worked as a cleaning lady at the University of Tampa, a seamstress at Speedline Athletic Wear Factory and the Valenti Tomato Factory which later became Dimare. She is survived by her daughter Ada (Robert) Betancourt and her only grandson, Brian Alexander Betancourt. Graveside service will take placeTuesday, November 29, 2011 beginning at 11:00 AM at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM.
