Mildred L. Smith of Lutz, FL passed away peacefully at her home on January 15, 2015 at the age of 87. Born January 7, 1928 in Tampa FL. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James "Dickey" Smith, grandson Jimmy Glenn Whitaker and granddaughter Tina Coffin-Sexton. Mildred leaves behind her daughters, Sandra and husband Leland DuBose, and Margie S Coffin; foster son, Sonny and wife Steretta Carter; grandson, Richard and wife Kimberly Coffin; granddaughters, Terry Whitaker, Alexis and husband Adam Palmer; great grandchildren, Cody and Kylie Coffin, Maylee Sexton and Kielynn Palmer; and her brothers, Henry and wife Betty Bass, Ernie and wife Yvonne Bass, Pat and wife Shirley Bass and many extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N Florida Ave, Tampa. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 4406 E Chelsea St, Tampa FL 33610.
