Misty Castillo, 63, of Wesley Chapel passed away March 25, 2014. She was born in Thomasville, Georgia to Joyce and Ellie Griffen. Misty was an insurance adjustor and a practicing Jehovah's Witness. She enjoyed exercising (biking, walking), beach goer, reading mystery and romance novels, music (R&B), collecting shot glasses, soap operas, Good Morning America, sea shells, her grandkids (Brandon and Austin), pedicures, cooking, and shopping. Misty donated her time volunteering with the Tampa & Ocala chapter of the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society. She worked with newly diagnosed victims of cancer. Misty is preceded in death by her father, Joyce Alver Griffen; brother, Jimmy Griffen; sisters, Sandy Wright and Anne Fickenworth. She is survived by her son, Joseph V. Castillo of Baltimore, MD; granddog, Guinness of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Laurie Helvenstine of Wesley Chapel, FL; grandsons, Brandon Helvenstine and Austin Helvenstine of Wesley Chapel, FL; mother, Ellie O. Griffen of Ocala, FL; brother, Albert Griffen of Ocala, FL; niece, Tammy Blizzard of Ocala, FL. Misty's life can be summed up in three words: LIVE, LOVE and LAUGH.
