Obituary

Natalie Bryant passed away on the morning of Sunday, July 30th, at the age of 77. A true 1946- born Baby Boomer daughter of a WWII returnee, Natalie was a Tampa native and the daughter of Fred and Vivian Keats. She graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1964, but never stopped learning, as she leaned into a lifelong love of books, history, and genealogy. She found additional entertainment in vintage Hollywood films, word puzzles, and watching the Tampa Bay Rays in as many games as possible. Kind in nature and generous in spirit, she found herself most in her element when helping others find their own joy, as shown in her time assisting in trip planning and in her years guiding tourists and leading events while managing the Tampa Visitors Center.

Natalie (Keats) married Ray Bryant in 1966, beginning a life of love together, ended only by her passing, falling just weeks shy of their 57th anniversary. Their only child, Mark, was born in 1970, and they proudly followed his accomplishments through both youth and adulthood. When Mark and his wife Jeanne had their own son, Griffin, Natalie proved to be every bit the loving and sweet Grammy as she had been a Mom.

She was a 12-year breast cancer survivor, but was never physically the same after her severe treatment regimen. While we were thankful it extended her life, it also produced a series of physical complications that compounded over time and eventually proved to be too much for
her. We can share some relief and gratitude in knowing she will no longer be in pain or troubled by these physical struggles.

Natalie spent her entire lifetime in the Tampa area, and she leaves behind her sister, Jane Roberts, husband, Ray Bryant, son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jeanne Bryant, and grandson, Griffin Keats Bryant.

Friend, sister, wife, Mom, Grammy, and so much more (we really could keep going), Natalie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, we suggest a donation be made in her name to the Tampa Bay History Center https://tampabayhistorycenter.org/support/
