Olga Diaz Alvarez, 92, born in Key West, Florida, she grew up in Ybor City, and called Tampa her home until she passed away March 24, 2019. She retired as a Supervisor from American General Life Insurance Company and she enjoyed her 30+ years of retirement with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was powerfully devoted in her faith and love of her family. She was an amazing cook, her family feasted on favorites like Ropa Vieja, Black Beans and Rice and Yucca. Christmas Day at the Alvarez house was a spectacular occasion because of Olga. Olga was preceded in death by her husband Gaspar. She is survived by her children; Larry Alvarez (Patricia) and Ron Alvarez (Lisa), five grandchildren; Larry Michael Alvarez, Yvette Holyok (Tim), Marina Alcover, Stephen Alvarez (Heather), Meghan Mazzant (Tyler), five great grandchildren; Katelyn Crooks, Corey-Jo Covington, Katie Alvarez, Tyler James Mazzant, Juliette Mazzant, extended family and friends. She will be missed greatly by all.
