In Loving Memory of Pauline (Polly) Nina Chivers Naylor
January 29, 1930 – January 20, 2026
Pauline "Polly" Nina Chivers Naylor, 95, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and love. Polly was born on January 29, 1930, in Tampa, where she spent her entire life—deeply rooted in faith, family, and community.
A proud graduate of Hillsborough High School, Class of 1948, Polly built a lifelong career with Eastern Airlines, where she worked in many roles from reservations to airport ramp services. Even after retirement, she remained devoted to her Eastern Airlines family, helping manage the R.E.A.L. (Retired Eastern Airlines) group for many years.
Polly lived her life with a spirit of adventure and curiosity that never faded with age. She traveled the world—visiting Europe, China, South America, and even Egypt to name a few. And on her 90th birthday, she showed her trademark zest for life by riding on the back of a motorcycle and getting a blue butterfly tattoo on her shoulder, thanks to cousin Matt.
She was active in her community, once serving as President of the PTA at Edison Elementary while her two sons attended. Her strong faith and dedication to church life were constants throughout her life. Polly was a past member of First Christian Church in Tampa and a beloved member of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, where she found joy, friendship, and peace in her later years.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and Nettie Chivers; her brother, Laurence A. Chivers; and her husband, Raymond T. Naylor.
She is lovingly survived by her two sons, Kirk R. Naylor (Donna) and Craig L. Naylor (Lorri); her grandchildren, Jessica Naylor (Carlos), Jeremy Naylor, Kristina Naylor, Breanna Johns (Nicki), Stephanie Johns and Scott Leach; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Alexandria, Taylor, Jordyn, Branden, Emily, Cameron (Emily), Kayla, and Kiana; and great-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Sammy, Alayna, and Vincent.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, January 30th at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, 709 W. Linebaugh Avenue, Tampa, FL 33612.
Polly will be remembered for her love of family, her adventurous heart, her beautiful sense of humor, and her unshakable optimism. She truly lived life to the fullest and leaves behind a wonderful legacy of faith, family, and fun.
