Peter F. Rocco,100, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on February 26, 2005 in Tampa, FL. He was born on August 12, 1904 in Clermont, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Virginia Marino Rocco, and his siblings, Thomas, Angelina Centi, Kathryn Salatino, Theresa Bradford and Sister Lucy Francis, S.A. He is survived by his children, Joanne and Diane of Tampa and Anita & Wayne Arvo of Harwood, MD.; his grandchildren, Sharon Arvo Beavers (Edward) of Holly Springs, NC, Bryan Arvo (Lisa) of Centreville, VA, Sue Arvo of Bethesda, MD and Melinda Arvo Neal of Tucker, GA; his great-grandchildren, Bradley, Caroline, Michael, Kevin and Samantha Beavers, Brennan, Michael and John Thomas Arvo, Carmella Rose and Jeremy Neal; his brother-in-law, David Bradford and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Rocco retired in 1998 as President of Marino Bros. Scrap Metal Processors, Rochester, PA at age 94. That marked the 80th year that the company was in business and his 50th year in the scrap metal business. He was an active member of the Rochester Chamber of Commerce and received the Man of the Year Award in 1995. He was recognized by the community as a "true gentleman" and a strong and supportive businessman. He was admired by all who knew him for his genuineness and presence. He was a devoted father, friend and a tireless sports fan. With a smile and a mischievous glint in his eye, he enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. A memorial celebration will be scheduled in Tampa at a later date and time to be announced. The family will receive visitors at the Devlin Funeral Home, Perrysville, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Perrysville, PA with burial at the Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in hismemory to the Morning Star Foundation, 210 E. Linebaugh Ave.,Tampa, FL 33612.
