Mrs. Poppy Shiakalli Bowen,59, lost her battle with cancer, entered into eternal rest on Dec. 14, 2007. Preceded in death by her mother in May of 2007. She was born in Cyprus, the island of Venus in the Mediterranean. She had been a resident of Tampa, FL since the year 2000 when she came in search of her "Millennium Man". She found that man Roy and soon after was married in a Fairy Tale Wedding at Disney World. She had a long career with Cyprus Airways and was the proud president of the Florida Interline Club and an honor member of WACA. She is survived by her beloved husband Roy J. Bowen of Tampa and her Twin Sons, Andreas Shiakallis and Christos Shiakallis together with 5 grandchildren all of whom reside in Cyprus. She was a treasured member of St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. (Corner of N. Dale Mabry & Stall Road) Tampa where a memorial service will be held on January 5, 2008 at 12 PM.
