Obituary

Ralph Fisher, 85, of Tampa passed from this earth March 12, 2013. Ralph was born in Tampa, Fl. to Houston and Grace Fisher. Mr. Fisher was a graduate of Hillsborough High School where he served as salutatorian for the class of 1946.He also led the Hillsborough Terrier Band Drum Major Team for 2 years.He obtained his Master's Degree from USF.Ralph served in the US Navy V-5 program following WWII. After serving with the military, Ralph went into Christian ministry and public education. Ralph taught in the Hillsborough County School System for 22 years: Memorial Jr. High- teacher, Wilson Jr. High- Guidance Counselor, Monroe Jr. High – Guidance Counselor and Dean, Van Buren Jr. High- Dean and Assistant Principal. His ministries included: Buffington Rd. Christian Church in College Park, Ga., First Christian Church in St. Cloud Fl., First Christian Church in Lake Wales, Fl., Valley Forge Christian Church in Elizabethton, Tn., Valley View Christian Church in Tulsa, OK., Palma Ceia Christian Church in Tampa, Fl.He did volunteer ministries at: Murdock Christian Church in Port Charlotte, Fl., Dade City Christian Church in Dade City, Fl., Forest Hills Christian church in Tampa, Fl. Ralph served as Director of the Lake Aurora Christian Assembly in Lake Wales, Fl. for 3 years and served as Trustee for Florida Christian College in Kissimmee Fl. for 2 terms. Ralph touched many lives in his years as educator and in service to the Lord. Ralph was a devoted husband and family man. He loved the Lord above all else and had a great desire to follow God's truth accurately. He and Nancy have attended North Blvd. Church of Christ for the past 5 years. Ralph's spiritual wisdom, Godliness, love of brethren as well as his amazing wit will be greatly missed. He will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him. Predeceased by parents Houston and Grace Fisher and sister Grace Joyce Branch. Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Rose Fisher; sister, Bernadette Dunn; daughters, Jan Odell and husband Rob of TX., Lucy Craig and husband Ed of TN.; step-children, Kathleen Green and husband Steve of Tampa, Carolyn Swanson and husband Eric of Tampa, Christopher Foster and wife Marcianne of Tampa; grandchildren Jay Ayala, Quint and Beau Craig, Charlie Hughes and wife Tiffany, Chelsie Worley and husband Cody, Molly Casey and husband Ryan and Matt Green; great grandsons Colton Hughes and Trig Worley. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to LifePath Hospice of Tampa Fl. Memorial Services will be March 30th at 4 P.M. at North Blvd. Church of Christ, 14901 North Boulevard, Tampa Fl. 33613.
