Ramon (Ray) Miguel Prendes, 60, of Odessa, FL, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Ray was born August 10, 1963, to parents Ramon and Juana Prendes. On October 7, 1995, he exchanged vows with his beloved wife, Marlene Prendes, and they continued to share a blessed marriage for over 28 years.

Ray was known for his positive spirit, boundless patience, good counsel, and love and loyalty for family and friends.

He found fulfillment in his real estate career and enjoyed mentoring others.  His generosity and volunteerism was well known from his 10 years as little league coach for his two sons' teams, serving as PTC president at Villa Madonna School, workdays at Mary Help of Christians, and mentoring his son's Robotics team at Jesuit High School.

He enjoyed going to Jesuit football games, was a Rays and Bucs fan, and enjoyed time spent with family and friends in Redington Shores.

Ray is survived by his loving spouse, Marlene and his adored sons Alex and Daniel; brothers Carlos Acosta and Peter Prendes; mother-in-law Caridad Gonzalez;  brother & sister-in-law, Jose and Mariela Gonzalez, and nephews Jason and Michael Acosta and nieces Maricela and Victoria Gonzalez.

Memorial mass is planned for later in May.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Ray's memory may be made to Jesuit High School (4701 N. Himes Ave Tampa, FL 33614 or Jesuit Tampa ) to provide the gift of education for students in need.
