Raul Torres was born on June 14th, 1956 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and passed away on February 18th, 2022 in Tampa, Fl. at the age of 65.

Raul was raised in New York by Carmen Lopez along with his 2 brothers, Edgardo and Arturo (Tito) Torres. He graduated High School in New York where he met his future wife, Nilsa Gomez, who got married with and had 2 sons, Roberto and Antonio Raul Torres. Raul was a great father and human being where he gave his best to provide for his family. Raul worked as an accountant for Medina Auto in Caguas until he decided to makea career change to be a waiter. He worked in named hotels in PR for years until his wife passed away and decided to move to Tampa with his mother Carmen. As his son's grew older and graduatedfrom High School, the next generation of Torres would start coming in with his grandchildren. Starting with Roberto David Torres (2002), Edwin Antonio Torres (2003), Nilsa P. Torres (2004), Daniela S. Torres (2006), Lua Isabel Torres (2007), Melissa N. Torres (2012) and Ryan Duffy who also joined the family in 2011. Raul loved his grandchildren and would try to spend time with them when possible. Raul also was loved and always had a unique sense of humor with his co-workers and friends wiched they loved from him and remembers him by.

He is survived by his sons Roberto and Antonio; his brothers Edgardo and Arturo; daughter-in-law Veronica Mijangos; and his grandchildren Roberto David, Nilsa P., Daniela, Ryan, Melissa, Edwin A. and Lua I.

A funeral service will be held at MacDonald Funeral Home on Saturday, March 5th, at 10:00. The family will receive visitors an hour prior , from 9:00 to 10:00
