Rebecca Lyn Gibbs(Holladay), passed away at her home in Tampa, FL on August 19th. Becky was born in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin. She grew up in Oshkosh Wisconsin where she graduated with an RN from Mercy School of Nursing in 1980 and from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1983 with a BSN. She has been employed at Memorial Hospital of Tampa since 1987 holding several nursing positions most recently as Director of Endoscopy. Her staff and co-workers are a close family. She founded the Tampa "Kids Living with Aids" charity and ran for over 20 years. Becky had a love for caring for others and knew by a very young age she wanted to be a nurse. She loved children, traveling, crafts, and was known for her hand made fabric pins. Becky was married to Brent A. Gibbs in 1986 and they have two sons Aaron and Andrew. She leaves behind many loved relatives and friends. Immediate family, husband, Brent; sons, Aaron and Andrew; parents, Edward and Judith Holladay; brothers, Kevin and the late Christopher; sister-in-law, Billie. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Van Dyke Church 17030 Lakeshore Road Lutz, Florida 33558. Friends may visit with the family in the gathering area at the church beginning at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Becky's name to Van Dyke Church.
