Rene Collazo, 83, of Tampa passed away February 18, 2014. Born in New York City and came here in 1985 from Jersey City, New Jersey. He spent his life as a seaman for over 40 years until his retirement in 1987. He was a Roman Catholic and he attended Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carmen; daughters, Stephanie & Carmen Lydia; sons, Robert & Michael; and leaves behind nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be said at 8:30 AM Friday, March 14, 2014 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
