Richard "Wyman" Walkney, 89, passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2016. Wyman was a US Navy Veteran of WW II serving on the USS Cimarron in the Pacific theater from 1944 - 1946. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Louise Walkney and grandson Michael Menendez. He is survived by two children, Richard Walkney & Sharon Menendez; three grandchildren, Todd Walkney (Katie), Jimmy Menendez (DeAnn) and Kim Walkney; along with his 9 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will take place Tuesday, May 31stat 11:00 AM at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave., Tampa. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Graveside service with full military honors will follow at Florida NatIonal Cemetery, Bushnell Florida at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
