Ricky Medero, 62 of Tampa passed away peacefully Nov. 26, 2016 with his cousins Kenny Suarez and Yvette Boggs by his side.Ricky is preceded in death by his grandparents Armando and Odilia (Gigi) Medero and his father Armando Medero, Jr.He is survived by his aunt, Orchid Medero Glasgow and uncle, Julio Medero; extended family and caring friends as well as his beloved chihuahua, "Sophia Loren".He loved cooking and entertaining and sharing with family and friends...all the way back to his days at the Claiborne Restaurant in the mid 80's.There, he became close to Frank Albano and his family. Ricky called him "Pop" as he was a father figure to him.Ricky was one-of-a-kind and had a unique way to make people laugh.He made us smile and he will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, 3607 N. Armenia Ave, Tampa 33607.
