Robert Barnes, 91, of Dunedin Florida, passed away after a brief illness on March 28.

Robert was born on September 18, 1934, to Robert and Mary Barnes and was raised in Queens, NY. Robert was the oldest of three boys. He proudly served in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, and his children, Jeffrey and wife Debbie, Diana Elmgreen and her husband David, Jennifer Spencer and her husband Jim, David and his wife Kristin and his youngest son Rob. He was predeceased by his son Douglas (wife Joyce Barnes) and brother Leslie Barnes (wife Michele Barnes). Robert is also survived by his youngest brother Paul and wife Nancy. Robert has 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grand Children.

Robert was active in basketball and baseball as a young man and remained a fan of sports throughout his life. He was especially fond of Penn State Football, watching PGA golf tournaments and following his Golden State Warriors and Kansas City Chiefs. He loved the music of Frank Sinatra and anything Motown that he could dance to.

Robert worked in Construction Management for many years, traveling far and wide, before retiring in South Florida.

Family and friends will gather for a memorial service in Baltimore, MD at a date to be determined.
