It was Ford Motor Credit that brought him to Tampa where he was a branch manager for 30 years. The other loves of his life were his church (Hyde Park Presbyterian), family, dirt-bike riding, tennis, and golf. He and Joyce loved to share their summer home in the mountains of North Carolina with friends, family, and grandchildren. He was an avid reader and crossword solver. He also enjoyed traveling and seeing the United States as well as Scotland, England and Ireland.
Jim was a southern gentleman and a man of integrity. He was known for his gentle, kind spirit. This endeared him to many especially the staff at Weinberg Village who pampered him. The family is eternally grateful to the caregivers and especially the memory care unit for loving and caring for him for the past six years.
