Roger Gibson Barrett, 61, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St Joseph's Hospital, surrounded by his family. Roger was born in 1954 in Lexington Kentucky, the son of Virgil and Ferne (Gibson) Barrett. Roger attended the University of Kentucky, receiving his bachelors and masters degrees in accounting and finance. He moved to Tampa, FL in 1977. He married Simone (Shoucair) Barrett on October 21, 1989 in Tampa, FL. Roger served as an accountant for Arthur Anderson and TECO before serving as vice-president and co-founder of Integrated Solutions Management consulting firm. Roger was an active member of the St. Lawrence Catholic parish and was known for his love of University of Kentucky basketball and the annual Kentucky Derby. He will be remembered as a loving and compassionate husband, father, brother, and a friend to many in the Tampa community. He is survived by his wife, Simone Barrett; sons, George Barrett and Brandon Barrett; sister, Sheila Sims; brother-in-law, Donnie Sims; brother-in-law, Michael Shoucair; and mother-in-law, Rosa Shoucair. The family will receive guests at Jesuit High School's St. Anthony's Chapel, 4701 N. Himes Ave, Tampa, FL 33614 on Saturday, February 13th from 12-2 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2 PM.
