Ronald Dale Bowlus, 80, born in New Orleans, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord May 6th, 2016 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Living most of his life in Tampa, Florida, Ron served the Lord in all aspects of music ministry, singing with London Parris and the Apostles, serving numerous local churches, music evangelism around the country, and ministering in nursing homes throughout the state. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Polly Bowlus and two sons, Greg (Shelly) and Grant (Mary) Bowlus, and 9 loving grandchildren (Felicia, Micah, Christian, Meredith, Madisyn, Clayton and Corey Mauller, and Jasmine and Kylie Acevedo. The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 10th at 11:00 am at the Lake Carroll Baptist Church located at 12012 N. Rome Ave., Tampa. Interment will follow at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery located at 3125 W. Socrum Loop Rd in Lakeland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made on behalf of Parkinson's Foundation, American Cancer Society, and N.E. Florida Community Hospice.
