Rosaria Haruko "Rose" Maglinte, passed from this life unexpectedly on Monday, February 24, 2014. Where she was a beloved daughter, sister, auntie and friend, her greatest achievement was being a Christian who lived her faith and demonstrated it in her many acts of kindness and compassion. She was an active member of the Temple Terrace church of Christ for over 50 years. Through the years she was big supporter of Florida College and a friend to many students who passed through its halls.
Born in Hilo, Hawaii in 1935 she moved to the states in 1949 to Isleton, CA. She moved to Washington state in 1956, and after living there for two years, she moved to Temple Terrace to attend Florida College. She graduated with her AA and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Spanish from University of South Florida. She worked at the University of South Florida in the admissions department for 40 years before retiring. In addition, she worked part time at Sears for over 40 years and was still working there at the time of her death. Early in her retirement she traveled internationally but in the later years she spent most of her free time serving others by providing meals, supplying clothes and helping in any way she could. She will be missed by many, however we rejoice in the fact that she has collected her great reward. She is survived by brother John Maglinte and 12 nieces and nephews.
The service will be held Friday, March 14th at 7:00 pm at the Temple Terrace Church of Christ building located at 8001 Temple Terrace Hwy, Temple Terrace, FL 33637.
