Ruth A. Cunniff, 92, of Lutz, Florida passed away peacefully on October 25, 2011 surrounded by her children. She was born in Everett, Massachusetts where she grew up as the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Judd. She is predeceased in life by her sister Dorothy (Judd) Cash and her brother Robert Judd. On June 15, 1941, she married Paul Cunniff at Sacred Heart Church in Roslindale, Massachusetts. She was the loyal wife to her husband, Paul, for 70 years.
Her marriage and her husband's Air Force career took her well beyond her Boston roots. She retired to Lutz, Florida in 1980. She has been an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for over 30 years.
Her family and friends fondly remember her gracious walk through life always accompanied by her wonderful sense of humor and wit.
She is lovingly remembered and survived by her husband, Paul and her three children Paul Cunniff, (Maureen) Kathy Lacey (Joe) and Bob Cunniff. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Cynthia Cunniff, Kristen Lacey, Shannon Lacey and Erin Vacarro as well as her great grandchildren, Courtney Vacarro, Joseph Vacarro, Jocelyn White and Hudson Rodriguez.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Monseignor Robert Morris at St. Mary's Church, Lutz, Florida on Friday Oct. 28 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to Gulfside Hospice Zephyrhills, Florida.
