Mrs. Severina Velez Rivera, 71, of Tampa passed away December 1, 2004. She was born in Lares, Puerto Rico andwas a Tampa resident since 1995 coming from Hatillo, Puerto Rico. She is survived by her children, Herminio Cruz of Puerto Rico, William Cruz of New York, Brunilda Cruz of Puerto Rico, Guillermina Cruz of Puerto Rico, Mildred Cruz of Puerto Rico, Eliza Cruz of Puerto Rico, Ada Ivette Cruz of Puerto Rico, and Migdalia Irizarry of Tampa; a brother, Pedro Velez of New York; a sister, Fela Velez of Puerto Rico; 35 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7-9 PM at the funeral home with a service beginning at 7 PM. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
