Reverend Sheila Marie (Derry) Cavender, 66, of Tampa FL (originally from Berwyn Heights, MD) returned to her heavenly home on November 10, 2019, after a valiant battle with MS. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her and ultimately gave her peace.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Cavender Bish and grand-daughter Caitlyn Marie Bish and brothers and sisters, Mike (Becky), Tim (Chèli), Kathy (David), John (Ellen), Mary-ellen (Greg), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Patricia Derry.

One of Sheila's favorite activities was going to Disney World with Theresa and Caitlyn, and her favorite time of year was the holidays. For Sheila, Christmas lasted the whole year through.

Sheila's family expresses their sincere thanks to all of you, both far and near for your comforting words, prayers, deeds and other acts of kindness. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. May God continue to bless you.

Family and friends may visit at LifeSpring Community Church Thursday November 14th at 4pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6pm.
