Sherrie L. Gibson-Mullineaux passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.  Sherrie was born November 12, 1958, to James E. Gibson and Jacqueline E. Steen, in Charleston, South Carolina.  Sherrie is survived by her partner-in-life Renee Tomas, daughter Jonette (Mullineaux) Socall, sister Barbara Gibson Power, brother William Michael Gibson, grandson Allan Tyler Socall, beloved granddaughter Samantha L. Socall, 9 nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.

Sherrie was exceptionally smart, funny and kind. She is remembered as a prolific storyteller with an indominable spirit. Following a successful career in the retail and personnel staffing industries, Sherrie then enjoyed success and personal freedom as an entrepreneur in Real Estate and online sales.  She was personally successful at anything she set her mind to. She believed helping others was equally important. She consistently coached others to become their personal best. Her inspiration provided many with the confidence and conviction to work hard to achieve their goals.  Sherrie gave back to her community; serving tirelessly with several animal rescue organizations.

Sherrie is sadly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the MacDonald Funeral home located at 1520 North Florida Avenue, Tampa, FL 33612. Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 11 AM. The celebration will commence at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, Sherrie has asked you consider donating to the ASPCA or your favorite animal rescue organization.
