Sheryl "Elaine" Tillman, 71, of Franklin, NC passed away peacefully at her home, November 23, 2019, due to Ovarian Cancer, with her family by her side. A native of Tampa, Fl, she was the daughter of the late William "Bud" and Margaret McRae Martin. Elaine graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1966 and retired from GTE/Verizon in 2002. Elaine was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her husband and children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Granny. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. They lived together in Tampa, Florida for forty-one years before relocating to Franklin, NC in 2012. Elaine is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Tillman; her three daughters Kelli Pepper (Stacy), of Tampa, FL; Kasey Green (James), of New Kent, VA; and Kourtney Geary (Michael) of New Kent, VA; sister, Janice Fewell (Robert); brother, William "Russell" Martin (Patty); seven grandchildren, Dustin and Josie Pepper, Kagan Jones, Copelin and Madison Green, Lillian Rogers, Axel Geary and her many nephews and nieces. All of whom she loved and touched deeply. Graveside service will take place at 2pm on Sunday, December 1 at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, 11005 N US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
