Stephen Michael Burch passed away early August 30, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. Mike lived a life charged by love, adventure, and cause. He proudly served in the US Army as a Missile Technician. While stationed in Germany, he worked as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Technician. After his service, Mike worked for the State Department, and spent two years in Nicaragua assisting with anti-drug trafficking efforts.
Mike was always available for advice, support, good conversation, or a hug. He was quick to laugh, was generous beyond words, and never lost his curiosity for life. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He was amazing with children, and relished being an Uncle and Great Uncle. His kind presence will be profoundly missed.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, James L. Burch Sr., and his stepmother, Beverly Burch. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jones; his partner of 17 years Colleen Grant; by his brother, James Burch II (and wife Patricia); his sister Cindy Hayes; his stepbrother Major Ronald Boyer II (and wife Lynette); by his nephews, Mark Burch, Christopher Jones, and Major Ronald Boyer III (and wife Taylor); and by his nieces, Kristi Jones, Rachel Cochran, and Christina Gildersleeve.
