Stephen Craig Whitworth, 50, of Apollo Beach died December 6, 2012 in the Veteran Affairs Hospital, Tampa, Florida. He is survived by his wife Edda Whitworth, whom he married September 24th,1985. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on September 11 1962, he was the son of Joan Whitworth and the late Charles Whitworth. Stephen was a U.S. Army Veteran, honorably serving 21 years, in which he was extremely successful. His talent and love for cooking helped carve the U.S. Army culinary field beyond anyone's dreams. With the help of the British exchange program, Stephen created the Advanced Culinary Skills Training Course, unique in the sense that it was so rare to have a course designed to teach all branches of service. His other hobbies were reading, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is also survived by his three children, Manuel Whitworth, Michelle Urbina, and Melissa Whitworth and two grandchildren, Nadia and Gabriel Urbina. Other survivors include his sister Pamela Worton and her husband Fred Worton and their two children Zach and Chandler and a brother Clark Whitworth and his wife Carmella. A small family ceremony was held December 9th, 2012 at his favorite place Anna Marie Island.
