Steve Aguilar Sr., 87, of Tampa, Florida, passed on January 4, 2025, in the city he called home his entire life.

Born on March 27, 1937, to the late Mike and Estella Aguilar, Steve grew up with a strong work ethic. He was the proud owner of a local plumbing business.

He loved road trips, fishing, boating, spending cherished moments with his family, and his dog, Gizmo. He was the best "Pop Pop" and "Poppa Shongo" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who adored him.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Estella Aguilar; his son, Steve Aguilar Jr.; and his brothers, Mike and Freddie. He is survived by his loving children: Karen (David), Connie (Johnnie), and Joey (Tiffany); his brother Frankie; his grandchildren Liam, Kinsley, Carolanne, Ruthie, Joey, Steve, Troy and Selena; his great-grandchildren Jeffrey Dale, Mariah and Nicholas; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ybor City on Friday, January 24th, at 11:00am. The family invites all who knew and loved him to join them in honoring his memory.
