Mr. Stuart W. Nichols, 71, of Tampa passed away Sept 5, 2008. He served as a deacon at Tampa First Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was a welder for the steel industry for 40 yrs and retired in 1998. He was a lifelong NY Yankees fan. Stuart was preceded in death by his wife Pearlie, three sons, Eddie, Steve and Danny, parents, George W. and Ruth E. Nichols, grandson, Timmy and a daughter-in-law Margie. He is survived by his children, Roger Bent (Carol), Susan Lovelace, Donald Nichols (Pamela), Shelia Burtz (Bill) and Rhonda Dempsey (Ronnie); daughters-in-law, Carol, Linda, Theresa and Sandy; brother, Walter Lee (Reva); sisters, Julia D. Willis and  Bernice R. Nichols; 32 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews and his loving Church family. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday, Sept 8th at MacDonald Funeral Home 10520 North Florida Ave. A funeral service will take place 10 AM Tuesday at Tampa First Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Dan Francisco officiating. Interment to follow at 2:30 PM at Citra Cemetery in Citra, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in his memory to Tampa First Seventh-day Adventist Church, 822 W. Linebaugh Ave, Tampa, FL 33612.
