Thomas W Scanlon, 60, of Tampa, FL passed away suddenly at home on November 28, 2021. Born September 20, 1961 in Wayne, PA , Tommy played high school baseball and earned a college scholarship.He later moved to Tampa, FL to attend USF. Tommy started his 38 year career with Jones Intercable which is now Spectrum Cable.He was an avid golfer and played in a softball league for many years. Heenjoyed camping, going to the local pub and had an obsession with convenience gadgets.Tommy cared for theabandoned cats in his neighborhood and any other animal on his doorstep.Heis survived bysister Cynthia Shaw and brother Steve Scanlon of Arkansas,his beloved girlfriend Amanda Wagnerand a host of long-time friends. Memorial donationsmay be sent to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
