Obituary

Timothy Harold Webb passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2022 at the age of 59. Tim leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends, who loved him and will miss him dearly. He was always great fun and a joy to be with, but more importantly, he was a devoted friend, brother, and son—a man you could count on.

Tim was born October 19, 1962, in Holland, Michigan, to Harold Webb and Hester (Creswell) Shelby. His family moved to Indianapolis in 1965, and he grew up in central Indiana. Tim learned his commitment and work ethic from his beloved mother, a single mom who raised three boys on her own.

He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1979. Later, he gave four years of his life to our country, serving in the U.S. Army and achieving the rank of specialist E-4.

Tim began a career in the material handling industry in 1996, taking a position as a customer service representative for Industrial Truck Sales & Service, a division of Nissan. He was promoted to a management position and worked for Nissan in Rockford, Illinois, for several years.

Since 2010, he worked for Hyundai Material Handling, making his home first in Tampa and, later, the Atlanta area. Just recently, he had moved back to Tampa. At the time of his death, Tim served as Hyundai's Southeast District Sales Manager, covering fifteen heavy-equipment dealers across the southeastern U.S.

Wherever he lived, wherever he traveled, Tim remained a proud Hoosier. An avid sports fan, he closely followed the NFL's Indianapolis Colts and the Hoosier teams of Indiana University. He was also a fan of IndyCar racing and NASCAR's Jeff Gordon.

He loved music of all kinds but especially enjoyed attending concerts of classic rock artists such as Billy Joel, Queen, Elvis Costello, Chicago, and Tom Petty. He was also building a collection of vintage blues and jazz albums.

He is survived by daughter Rebecca Webb of Greenfield, IN; stepdaughter Tasha Niesman of Crown Point, IN; stepson Shannon Bromagen of Morristown, IN; brother J. David Webb of Nashville, TN; Kevin L. Webb of Irvine, CA; grandson Quinton Bonhomme; granddaughter Amanda Sickles; and grandson Nathan Bromagen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hester L. Shelby, and father Harold V. Webb.

Tim will be honored and his life remembered at private services in the Tampa and Indianapolis areas. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association in Tim's name.
