IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Todd Edmund
Weeks
November 9, 1967 – September 26, 2023
Todd E. Weeks, 55, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away at his home on September 26, 2023. He was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed immensely. His family's world has been rocked by his loss, but they are grateful for the time they had with him – even though it will never feel like enough.
Todd was born November 1967 in Southfield, Michigan to John and Cheryl Weeks. He, his parents, and his brother, Craig, grew up in South Lyon, MI where he graduated from South Lyon High School. He then entered the United States Army in August of 1985 where he served as 27E1YL Tow Dragon Repairer, Battalion Commander Driver, and Squad Leader with honorable discharge in May 1988. After his time in the Army, Todd attended Washtenaw Community College where he studied Criminal Justice/Psychology. In February 1989, he met the love of his life, Debbi and they married in April1990. After their marriage, Todd and Debbi settled in St. Petersburg, Florida where they started a family.
Todd excelled as an industry leader and innovator in the automotive finance industry, working with AutoFi, GWC Warranty, Sonic Automotive and JP Morgan Chase where he was a driving force behind the technological evolution and risk management of the industry. Todd was loved by his industry colleagues, as he was incredibly passionate, brilliant and generous with his time collaborating and mentoring his team members and industry partners.
While Todd was proud of his successes in business, he was even prouder of his family. He was a fierce defender of his family. He and Debbi worked to ensure their children had the opportunity to pursue their dreams. Todd was so proud of his son Justin's accomplishments and passion for nature and travel. He was proud to see his daughter Lauren pass the bar and become an Attorney. Known for his quick wit, he had the innate ability to make fast friends with strong relationships.
Todd's struggles over the past few years were very difficult for him but he faced them with resilience and courage. The family was blessed to spend his final days with him sharing memories.
Todd is survived by his wife, Debbi Weeks; his son, Justin Weeks; daughter, Lauren Weeks; his parents, John and Cheryl Weeks; brother, Craig Weeks; sister-in-law Diana Wardwell (Henry), sister-in-law Christine Stinchcomb; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. We are all better for having known him.
Military honors and inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Friday, October 27th, at 10:30am. Memorials contributions may be made in his memory to The Wounded Warriors Project, Moffitt Cancer Center, Shriners Hospital for Children and The ASPCA.
