Vernon Irving Krutsinger, 66, of Tampa, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2017. He was born in Decatur, Illinois on January 17, 1951, and his family moved to Tampa in 1953. Vernon attended Oak Grove Middle School, and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1969 and from the University of South Florida in 1973. Vernon was the Vice President of The Dancey Company through 1984, where he traveled all over the United States, Caribbean, and South America, and continued in marketing and wholesale in the propane gas industry throughout his career. He was the first President of the Florida Association of Young Gassers in 1972, and active on committees in the Florida Propane Gas Association and the National Propane Gas Association. Vernon loved camping, fishing in Boca Grande, riding his Harley-Davidson, and spending time with his family. As a young adult, he was an active Deacon and Elder at Christ Community Church, in Tampa, and loved to share Jesus to the end of his life.

Vernon was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary Carter Krutsinger and Irving Krutsinger; and is survived by his loving wife, Ginger Gonzales Varela Krutsinger; son Tyson Krutsinger, wife Rachel, and their children, Matthew, Victoria, and Faith of Lutz; son Kyle Krutsinger of Tampa; daughter Lyla Varela, husband Robert, and their children Dezante and Nevin of Tampa; son Philip Varela Krutsinger and children Julian, Josiah, Briella, and Philip Jr. of Tampa. Vernon is also survived by his mother, Marian Krutsinger; sister Sylvia Campbell and husband Brad; brother Steve Krutsinger and wife Debbie; sister Sharon Henry and husband Dean; brother Tom Ross and wife Sally; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives at 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz, Florida. A celebration of his life will take place at 5 p.m., followed by dinner, all at Idlewild Baptist Church.
