It is with great sadness that the family of Victoria Angeles Palacio announces her passing on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at the age of 87 years.Victoria will be lovingly remembered by her 3 children, 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.

Victoria was born in Havana, Cuba. She moved to New York in 1960 where she cared for both her family, and the children of relatives who remained in Cuba until their parents could come to the USA. Victoria spent most of her life away from her beloved Cuba which she always held dear to her heart. A visit never passed when she did not speak of her life in Havana; but like a plant in the asphalt that grows in spite of its location and circumstance, Victoria thrived; her life through the years touched the lives of many in love and understanding – Amor y Comprension.

The legacy of Victoria, the culture that she brought with her to the US, and the kind and sacrificial hospitality she offered to the downtrodden and those in need, will be remembered and continued through her family. The family loved the stories she loved to recount of the many places she visited and the many countries she lived in. All loved and enjoyed her special Cuban dishes and hear about Victoria's secret flan recipe while enjoying her café Cubano.

A funeral service will be held for Victoria Angeles Palacio at St Lawrence Church on Monday, July 30, 2017. Family andfriends will gather around 10:30 for the 11 am service with Father Chuck officiating at St Lawrence Church, 5225 N Himes Ave, Tampa, FL 33614. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Lawrence Church, St. Jude Hospital or a charity of your choice to honor Victoria's legacy of generosity. The family is most grateful to God for HIS orchestration of events in Victoria's long and fruitful life and for God's faithfulness to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
