Weston William Walker, a corporate attorney and resident of St. Petersburg, FL, died suddenly on August 28th, 2021 at the age of 37.
Weston is survived by his parents Walter and Jerilynn Walker of Grand Rapids, MI; sister Whitney (Alex) Briggs of Grand Rapids, MI; nephew Trey Briggs; niece Adele Briggs, special friend, Catharine Schoenecker, furry friends, Oliver, Jampa & Hugo & countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by Grandparents Cornie & Lila Brower & Tom & Lorraine Walker, and cousin Angela Walker.
Weston was born on March 6th, 1984 in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from St. John's University in Collegeville, MN in 2006 with a degree in Political Science. He worked briefly for General Mills in Golden Valley, MN before heading south and furthering his education at Florida State University College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate. He worked for Progressive Home in St. Petersburg up until the time of his death.
Weston was an avid golfer and spent most of his time on the golf course. When he wasn't golfing, you could find him cheering on the FSU Seminoles and MN Vikings. He loved to travel and found himself in places like India, Dubai and London. In November 2018, he hiked to the Everest Base Camp in Nepal where he discovered a love for Yogananda and a path for self-realization.
Weston was an amazing son, brother, Uncle and friend. He achieved great things and touched the lives of many during his short time with us. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
We will be having a celebration of Weston's life on Sunday, September 5th at TPC Tampa Bay from 2-4 pm, 5300 W Lutz Lake Fern Rd, Lutz, FL 33558. Please feel free to wear FSU attire in support of the FSU home opener against Notre Dame Sunday night. We will be hosting another celebration in Minneapolis at a later date with more details forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations that will be split among organizations special to Weston.
