Wilbur Stephen "Steve" Bunner, age 74, of Citrus Park, FL passed away Tuesday September 26, 2017 at 5:25am in Tampa, FL. He was born in Alexander, WV to late Wilbur F. and Genevieve Reger Bunner. He is survived by his wife, Caryl "Casey" Vanover Bunner of Tampa, FL; three daughters, Teresa Bunner Spivey of Citrus Park, FL, Lisa Bunner Wyatt and husband Brad Wyatt of Brooksville, FL, and Marie Bunner Blodgett and husband Steve Blodgett of Holiday, FL; step daughter, Crystal Bush and husband Mike Bush of Citrus Park, FL; stepson, Rodney Vanover and wife Julie Vanover of Utica, KY; siblings, Vera Gregory and husband Roscoe Gregory of Rock Cave, WV, Faye Taylor and husband Nick Taylor of Tampa, FL, Fred Bunner and wife Ginny Bunner of Tampa, FL, Tom Bunner and wife Helen Bunner of Rock Cave, WV, and Marilyn Carpenter and late beloved husband Steve Carpenter of French Creek, WV; nine grandsons, five granddaughters, two great grandchildren, six nieces and eight nephews he adored.
Steve lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed watching Nascar and football. He loved listening to good music by Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash among many others. He was also known to Jitterbug on occasion. He enjoyed being outdoors and hunting. He was a business owner and Journeymen Carpenter by trade. It was his skill in wood working that served as his most loved hobby. He was always the life of the party sharing his good humor, energy, and generosity with everyone. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
We would like to invite all of Steve's family and friends to the Celebration of Life Service on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11am at West Broad Street Baptist Church 3809 West Broad Street, Tampa, FL 33614. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10am-11am. A graveside service will be held later that day at 2pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens 12609 Memorial Drive, New Port Richey, FL 34655. All services will be officiated by his nephew, Reverend Roger Bunner.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions are made to the Alzheimer's Association online at Alz.org.
