Obituary

William Perry "Bill" Carlton age 91, died October 23, 2013. He was born in Hobart, Oklahoma. Bill enlisted in the US Navy in January, 1941 and spent 6 ½ years in that service, where he was a crew member on the USS Nevada at Pearl Harbor during the December 7th, 1941 attack. He spent the entire WWII on combat duty of which 3 years were on the staff of commander 5th Fleet.
Bill was employed by the Civil Aeronautics Administration, now known as the FAA, moving up the ranks to become a facility chief. He subsequently moved to the Washington DC headquarters, later transferring to the Denver CO regional office, where he retired in 1975.
Bill later worked for H & R Block in Tampa from 1981 until 1989, becoming operations supervisor for the Tampa district until retiring.
His passions were golf, painting, hockey & baseball. Most of all, Bill loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Rosarie; daughters Johanna Carlton (fiance' Jaimes Fredlund), Judy Berges (Fred), sons Barry Carlton (Juany) & Bruce. He was predeceased by his daughter Susan Harrold. Bill is survived also by his grandchildren James Harrold, Stephanie Beck (Kevin), Danielle Tanner (Steve), Brandy Dayne (Troy), Matthew Carlton (Shannon). Bill is predeceased by his grandson Sean. He also had many great grandchildren whom he loved & cherished.
Perry will be missed by many & was admired, enjoyed, respected by all those he touched.
A funeral service will take place 11 AM Friday, Nov. 1st at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
