Mr. William H. "Bill" Dean, 79, of Tampa passed away June 10, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital.Bill served with United States Air Force and retired as Tech Sergeant and then in later years, he retired from GTE after 20 years. Bill loved to take cruises, was an avid bowler and loved to spend time with his family and friends. His son, Del preceded him in death. Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ruth Dean; his children, Gary Dean, Kenny Dean, Debbie Stephens, Marcell Julian and Bettejo Crawford; his sister, Claudine Laney; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A memorial service will take place 11 AM Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, 6100 Memorial Hwy, Tampa, the family will visit with friends from 10:30 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
