William (Bill) F. Waring, Jr., 79, was born on April 1, 1939 in Washington, D.C and passed away on April 7, 2018 at his home in Tampa, Florida surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Foster Waring, Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth Waring; Flora Waring Richardson, sister; James Correll Waring and Dright Waring, brothers; Ellen Waring, daughter and Brandy Levy, granddaughter.

Following high school, Bill proudly served his country for 30 years as a 1st Sergeant in the United States Army. Upon retiring from the military, he dedicated his work to Unistrut and GCA where he retired from in 2011.

He was known as "Sonny" by his family. He enjoyed listening to music, watching boxing and sports, running and getting into mischief with his brothers and sisters. He also enjoyed playing cards with his family. He was a lifetime member of the Amvets Post 4 of Tampa, Florida. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends but will always be remembered for the memories they had and the way that he made them laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tamara Dorman Waring of Tampa, Florida; children, Darlene Snipes, Bernard Levi, Maureen Waring, all of Washington, D.C.; Charles (Loretta) Goulding of Tampa, Florida and Jeremy (Jessica) Goulding of Weirton, WV. Siblings, Willie Mae Harrison, Rose Botts, Vivian Narine, Yorretta (Arthur) Broughton, Ursula Williams, Mary Hodo, Roy (Renee) Waring, and Samuel Waring. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Interment will be held on Monday April 16, 2018 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 12:30 pm with Full Military Honors presented.
