English lady, Yvonne Charlotte Reynolds, moved to New York City as a young woman of 19 to work as a nanny. She was married two times, first to Gerald Freeman and together they adopted one daughter, Stacy Freeman.  Following her divorce, she later married James Reynolds, which sadly, also ended in a divorce.  She died at age 82, in the care of Hospice on September 16, 2024 at the Austin House Retirement Home in Lutz, FL. Yvonne was the eldest child born in Skipton, England on August 28, 1942, to Dennis Chew and Irene Beck.

She enjoyed many years as an elementary school teacher in the Florida education system before retiring to live in the beautiful area of Tampa, Florida.  Her long-time friend, Kay Farland, has many fond memories of the times and fun they had together.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, and her two sisters Patricia and Denise. Her loss will be felt by surviving members of the family, a brother, Paul, daughter, Stacy, grandson, Ryan, and many relatives all in England, and her neighbors, Fred and Faye Baryol who were her dear caretakers as she journeyed home to God.

It is the gloom of the churchyard that reveals to us more clearly the beauty of life. It is the broken ties at the grave that prompt us to further appreciation of the tenderness of the ties that are not yet broken; and so while we mourn the loss of our dead we rejoice that there is no cloud so dark that there is no light behind it, no sorrow so poignant that there is not a balm for the sound it inflicts, and the love remembered is the source of our peace.

A small memorial will be held in Tampa after which she will be taken to England to be laid to rest with her other family members. Condolences can be mailed to her nephew, David Smith, 4046 Shoreside Cir., Tampa, FL 33624.
